Sashiko is a simple and elegant style of Japanese hand embroidery. Beautifully intricate patterns are created with a simple running stitch using thick cotton Sashiko thread. Sashiko is great for beginning and advanced stitchers alike. Easy to learn and relaxing to do!

Quality, nice size and fun for playing with color

This is, like other reviewers mentioned, high quality fabric, no backing needed. Once the stitching is done, it's ready to display and is perfect for draping over an end table or small coffee table. It's fun to play with different colors and connecting color themes in the different patterns.

Terrific product! A fabric back included in the kit would be an additional help for a pillow.

Excellent quality

The fabric on which this project is stamped is first quality. I've never seen a pre-hemmed stamped fabric before. The fabric was a nicely heavy fabric that needled beautifully. I am very impressed.

Super project to tackle for beginners.

This is a gift but I’m very pleased with the quality and instructions. It’s sure to be a hit !

Great sampler

I purchased the kit of this sample because though I’ve been sewing for years Im new to Sashiko. The stitches are clearly marked and there is a variety of traditional patterns. The kit provides plenty of thread and two needles. The marks easily dissolve with water. Claudia was very helpful.
