Hitomezashi is a style of Sashiko that uses dense stitching to create intricate patterns. The Hitomezashi Coasters Pattern from QH Textiles gives you the opportunity to stitch up 6 different small scale designs that can be turned into coasters, clothing patches, wall hangings, table runners and more. The pre-printed designs make it easy to start stitching right away.

Great gift

The coaster patterns were everything I hoped for. The red one was a gift for a sashiko stitcher and much appreciated. Good quality printed fabric, excellent sashiko thread.

I've now completed all 4 sets of these. I really enjoyed working on them and learning new patterns.

Continuing review

I wrote the bulk of my review on Series 4 of the coasters but wanted to add on this one that I’m really excited to work on these. I really like the small, pocket size articles that I can tuck into my Snuggly Monkey notions bag and carry with me. Also, I really like that there is matching fabric for the back of the coaster. I usually see the backing on after I’m finished with the stitching as I think it’s a neater look.

Ready, set, stitch!
